Wilderness Mara

Formerly the beloved Little Governors' Camp, one of the most storied properties in Kenya since the 1970s, this property completed a full rebuild and rebrand in June 2026 as Wilderness Mara under the Wilderness Safaris group. The iconic location is unchanged: accessed by dinghy across the Mara River, perched beside a waterhole visited constantly by elephant, hippo and buffalo. The rebuild added a swimming pool and reduced from 17 to 12 tents, increasing the intimacy. All original staff were retained.
