Day 1
Nairobi to the Maasai Mara
A transfer through the Rift Valley with a stop at the escarpment viewpoint, always a hit with kids, arriving at camp in time for lunch and an easy first game drive.
Day 2
Full day in the Mara
A full day of game viewing paced for younger travellers, with flexibility to keep drives shorter and build in breaks back at camp between sightings.
Day 3
Second day in the Mara
One more day exploring the reserve's plains, with the lodge's pool and grounds there to burn off energy in between.
Day 4
Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
A road transfer to Lake Naivasha, arriving at a resort known for its lakeside pool and grounds where giraffe and hippo sometimes wander through, a favourite for families after a few full days of early starts.
Day 5
Naivasha at leisure, with an optional boat trip
A relaxed day by the lake, with an optional boat ride and walking safari on Crescent Island available locally, a rare chance to walk safely among giraffe, zebra and antelope with no predators on the island, always popular with children.
Day 6
Final morning and departure
A relaxed final morning before the transfer back to Nairobi.
