Day by day
Day 1
Nairobi to the Maasai Mara
An early pickup and a drive through the Great Rift Valley, with a stop at the escarpment viewpoint. You'll arrive in time for lunch at camp, followed by your first afternoon game drive.
Day 2
Full day in the Maasai Mara
A full day on the plains, with options for a morning-only, afternoon-only or full-day game drive depending on how you'd rather pace it. This is prime Big Five country.
Day 3
Second day in the Mara
One more full day exploring different corners of the reserve, ending with a sundowner as the plains cool into evening.
Day 4
Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
A road transfer back through the Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru, arriving in time to settle in before an afternoon game drive along the lake's flamingo-lined shallows, Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya's few gated rhino sanctuaries, so both black and white rhino are realistic sightings here.
Day 5
Full day at Lake Nakuru
A relaxed full day exploring the park's forest edges and open shoreline, with the chance of leopard in the acacia woodland as well as the birdlife the lake is famous for.
Day 6
Final drive and departure
A last morning game drive before breakfast and the transfer back to Nairobi.
