Overview
Vipingo Ridge is Kenya's most exclusive beach and golf destination, a private, gated estate of some 2,500 acres perched on dramatic coral cliffs above the Indian Ocean, just 35km north of Mombasa. Unlike the busy resort strips of Diani and Bamburi, Vipingo offers genuine seclusion and a level of privacy that is increasingly rare on the Kenyan coast.
At the heart of the estate is one of Africa's finest golf courses, an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout measuring over 6,000 metres, designed to tournament standard and set against a backdrop of ocean, baobab trees, and coastal bush. The course has hosted international professional tournaments.
Beyond golf, Vipingo offers beachfront accommodation, access to a coral-cliff beach with excellent snorkelling on the house reef, tennis courts, a spa, and water sports. The pace is slower and more private than Diani, no beach hawkers, no crowded restaurant strips, just manicured grounds, ocean views, and a very Kenyan sense of privileged ease.
Vipingo is ideally positioned as a short stay before or after a Kenyan safari, or as a standalone golf-and-beach retreat.
